Need a factory driveshaft for my `70 road runner 383, 727, 8 3/4 - 51 1/2" long with 7290 u-joints. I am heading to Carlisle so anyone there or along the way from New Hampshire going I84 to I81.
Guy does it with green bearings but should be the same for tapered bearings, seems a bit crude but looks to work just fine. Doesn`t say what diameter pipe he used but I can measure that.
My road runner didn`t come with a driveshaft and it`s currently under restoration so I can`t measure. I know I can have one made but would prefer an original one, what is the length? If anyone has one local to me (New Hampshire) or going o be at Carlisle selling one let me know. 1970, 383, 727...
E-bay description says they are exact to NOS, but are they? Inline tubes also has a kit but they don`t say how correct they are?
Pardon Our Interruption...
1970 Mopar B-body 3pc Rubber Brake Hose Kit, Drum Brakes, 9pc
Any other sources, I just need the hoses, don`t need the tee?
If you have been following along I`m working on a `70 road runner ( thread here- `70 road runner, FC7, 383, 727 It`s waited long enough, finally time to get it done. ) and I have a couple decisions to make. I am doing a 90% stock resto on it with a couple add ons like an air grabber hood and...
I have two different ones here but not sure which one ( or either ) is correct for my 8 3/4? Does it matter which plant and/or date? Mine is St Louis, December 1969.
Called Mancini and they told $330 for tapered axle bearings and they would have to order them, DR Diff has kits but I need just the bearings or bearings and seal kit, who has quality ones (Timkin or??, NOT chinesium) them at a decent price?
Homemade rotisserie used on my '70 road runner, may fit other B- bodies or modify the mounts to fit other vehicles as one end is adjustable for length. No hydraulic jacks and has hand crank for spinning, large caster wheels for moving. $600 or best offer, will consider trades for Mopar stuff or...
I need to do my wheel wells and inside of quarter panels, I don` need concours correct but want it to look pretty close to the factory stuff. Resto Rick says one gallon and a quart to one gallon and a half to do all that but is only sold by the gallon so I would need two gallons at $103 a piece...
I have the firewall diagram but want to figure out which holes are factory and which ones are not as previous owner(s) drilled a bunch of "extra" ones.
I found what looks like sprayed black paint on outside of the front frame rails near the control arm mounts. I would have just ignored it thinking some previous owner spray canned it but when I removed the lower rubber bump stop I could see it was there before it was installed. Judging by the...
Getting ready to spray my undercariage on my `70 road runner and need info on the bolt on dual exhaust hanger - was it bolted on before or after undercarriage was primered and if after what is the correct finish for the hanger and nuts?
I am currently having lot`s of fun (NOT!) cleaning and sanding the underneath of my road runner getting it ready for paint. I want to replicate the factory look which means gray primer with body color overspray, I`m not looking for concours points but just want it close with as few different...
Thought I`d ask the opposite question of the other thread on coolest wheels. For me hands down the lamest factory are steel wheels with poverty/dog dish caps = boring, they only belong on 100% concours show cars or grandmas slant six four door Dart. Second Lamest is Rallyes, while I don`t think...
Need a new welding helmet as mine is pretty old and beat so need to put it on my Christmas list. Maybe even under $150 but I don`t want some cheap crap. I`m just a hobbyist so don`t need anything fancy - what`s out there for deals...
I saw a Dewalt at Tractor Supply but not sure how good they are?
