I got lucky ( I hope) and found a NOS turn signal switch for the 64 Sport Fury.
Question - should I partially disassemble it and add any grease to the contacts?
Thanks
I went to buy some tools from a person today and they had a few Mopar parts laying there. A nice clean set of 452 heads supposedly removed from a lower mile 440 police car, rocker shafts, rockers, and valve covers. I told this elderly person that I would see if anyone here on the forum was...
Well CRAP. It's not an easy install and now there seems to be a problem with the switch.
Brake lights work 100%
Turn signal lever locks into place and signals work both sides no problem.
System cancels just fine both sides.
BUT
I was playing around to see if there was a lane change position...
Installed a new turn signal switch in the 64 Sport Fury today. Used the Rock Auto Shee-Mar SM102 switch.
Not a horrible job but:
Someone else had damaged the threads where the puller bolts go so cleaning those up added some time.
As others have said fishing the wires for the new switch back...
ORIGINAL visors from black interior 1964 Sport Fury.
1) the binding on the lower edge is perfect but needs to be stiched back secure by hand
2) ONE of the plastic dowels that snaps into the mirror housing is gone
3) a piece of black tape covers a small tear
4) the METAL rod that does all the...
Google VS7-F to see what they are. New still in plastic. We bought these a couple years ago thinking we needed them for the 64 and we do not. They are 40-50 bucks online. Free but you pay shipping. Will meet you in the Pinckney/Gregory/Stockbridge MI area to hand them over.
I have been trying to find a loud noise in our 64 sport fury. If you didn't know better you would think it was something in the transmission making a noise that varies with rpm. While it was making the noise today I happened to be adjusting the heat temp knob and the noise went away. I can...
We had been grabbing spare parts for the 64 Plymouth when we could find them and we wound up with an extra set of heater buttons They do NOT fit our 64 fury these are larger (see below). . Does anyone know which cars used the fatter switches? I just measured them and WITH the chrome sleeve they...
We ordered this Standard Motor Products 727 trans back up lamp switch part # LS201 for our 64 Fury and it is not the correct one. Our car has the switch in the center console with the shifter and this one mounts on the trans. Do your research! Shipping will be about 9.35 to lower 48 but I...
BBK44 body bumper kit - google it for details. Basicallly free - $11 includes shipping to lower 48 states only. These are $32 plus shipping cheapest place I could find them. Unopened.
1) Rear armrests left and right WITH pads and ashtrays!! Good condition. No broken mounting bosses. Ignore the reflections one ashtray has a little chrome flake around the edge. All black
2) Front armrest pads only in good to excellent condition.
Free - prefer to hand them to someone...
We removed these FRONT armrest pads from our 1964 Sport Fury when we restored the interior. They are about 10.5" overall. The vinyl is soft and supple with no splits or tears and the foam seems fine. Yes you can buy new ones but these are pretty nice!! $15 PLUS shipping from SE Michigan...
I had added this at the bottom of a sticky post but thought maybe it was important enough for a new post. I had been struggling with the 10x2.5 front brakes on the 1964 Sport Fury getting grabby and hot. On stands they self actuate rolling forward. This was all after installing Bosch BS169R...
Anyone around Gregory MI that can help or tell me how to remove the hubs from the original drums on this 64 Fury? To be clear - I want to KEEP the studs in the hub - just remove the drum
put all new front brakes on the 64 sport fury about a month ago. Manually adjusted them properly and for the last month (about 500 miles) they worked perfectly - good pedal and dead straight no pull. Yesterday they started pulling right and rt front got hot. Backed the adjusters off a bit and...
These are the original panels from a 1964 Sport Fury. The metal tops, window sweeps etc are NOT included. The trim buttons were transferred to the new panels. The backer board is in excellent condition - and the chrome tape is about 99% fine. Will need some more cleaning. These are driver...
