I got this rust free ‘68 Satellite in 1988 for $250. The guy couldn’t find the title. The car is from Arizona, and he was the 3rd owner. I tried calling Arizona DMV years ago and they said that any car not registered for 5 years gets purged from the system. I wonder if it was used in a nefarious...

They died for me with Iacocca. Nice that the Pentastar is still around. And I wouldn’t mind getting a mid teens...
I ordered one from Empire covers and they said they ran out of material and refunded me. Then I bought one from the Coverstore… said it was for a ‘68 Satellite base wagon. It didn’t come close to fitting. Way too small. Does anyone have a place they got one from that fits? Maybe I’ll have to get...
What’s the newest? What are you guys using recently?
I’ve done a few 70’s type external 5 pin (4 on the later) conversions. And while they work good, it’s a lot of wiring and installation work. Are the HEI kits any good? Thanks!
Tony DeFeo and Geoff Stunkard reminisce about the glory years of magazine print media for the car culture. I enjoyed it, but don’t really miss it. Lots of money spent for only a few things that interested me. And having to store the damn things! :) I’ll take the internet on my phone.
I’m having a hard time finding the right size vacuum hose for distributor advance and vacuum pull off on the choke. I think it’s 3/16, but Autozone doesn’t have it. Am I wrong on the size? All they seem to have is fuel line which is much thicker.
What’s that sound? Maybe the throwout bearing? Pretty clean underneath. Most were way rusted by the mid 80’s up here in the NE.
They got it priced at $15,900.
I never measured, but assumed that the 2 door looks sleeker because of the slope to meet the backlight. The side quarter window helps as well. I saw this vid and maybe he’s talking about the ‘71 up cars. They don’t share much if any sheet metal between the 2 and 4 door.
I agree, the price is high. But it just sounds like another “Mopar Guy” looking for, and pointing out what isn’t original or “correct”. While I can admire the OEM resto thing, I’ve always wanted something different than everything else. That’s why I don’t have a Fox body. :D
I think this would matter more at the drag strip, with solid traction. But I remember pictures of the AA/SS cars having external oil lines back in old pix at the track. I also remember guys running a Moroso accumulator on the street. What’s your thoughts on this?
Nice looking car. Buckets and a 4 speed… I’d want the console as well but, cool. I don’t think they made many in white. Not a color I’d choose first. And not a #’s OEM so it can be driven and beat on a bit. $200k. That’s almost double what it would have been just 2 years ago.
Am I missing something? Junkyards are littered with LS motors. It’s got bigger rims and tires, better shocks. And it doesn’t even have a clutch. All these “mods” could be done by a high school kid in his driveway.

I ordered a 60 amp mechanical regulator from Rockauto, and thought it was a direct replacement. It has a different mounting pattern, and the stock wiring won’t be long enough. I did have a PK41H Fury I Police car that I parted out back in the 80’s. So I might have a similar in the attic. Is it...
I put a new rebuild alternator in my ‘68 Satellite 383, and regulator. At idle the amp gauge is going back and forth between charge and discharge. Lights are following the gauge bright to dim. At higher RPM’s it acts normal. USA regulator, GM Chinese rebuilt alternator. Any ideas what would...
Prices have gotten silly on some of these ‘68-‘70 rotted out hulks that used to be a Charger. This one had me laughing! A column shift automatic, bench seat car, missing a lot of parts. Ha! Ha! :D
