Looks like another China copy.. tbh casting looks nice though.
Just came to my head:
Would it be possible to get more caster if you take a poly LCA bushing and cut off some material of the tapered section? The LCA would move closer to the K-frame which should give you more caster..
Obviously you need adjustable strut rods to make this work.
Am I missing...
Does anyone know what type of steel was used for the different parts other than sheet metal? I'm talking about suspension, steering etc.
For example the strut rods and shifter rods (on a 4-speed) are much harder than regular steel.
Does anyone have a LCA lying around and could measure what's the diameter of the strut rod hole? I need to know how much play is normal (strut rod measures .628 diameter). And also the width of the hole.
Thanks!
I'm looking for RobbMCs dowel pins. Not sure which size I need so I'd like to have all of them before I start the alignment procedure. Since I have a lakewood bellhousing I assume I probably need a .014 or .021 offset..
Thanks
I noticed that the headliner side trim on my Charger (70) is not fully seated at the bend and I can see the clip behind it. Before I break something: how do you remove that thing (and later install it again)? Simply pulling it downwards?
Thanks
I replaced the front armrest pads in my 70 Charger 15 years ago and the replacement pads were made out of a quite hard rubber-like material. The original pads were much softer iirc (rear pads in car are definitely softer than the repro front pads).
Does any vendor offer correct soft front 13"...
I'm searching for a column lock plate for a 70 B-body (should interchange with A- and E-body 70-74 iirc). Looking for the early version which is secured by a roll pin (later ones have a spring). Here's a picture:
Thanks
Has anyone used or even heard of them (Chassis Engineering subframe connectors)?
Several vendors on ebay but they have a webpage as well (with lower prices): C/E3651 -68-76 B-Body
They are of the weld-in type but only front and back (2x2").
Apparently there is no correct seat foam for the buckets seats in a 1970 Charger. The seat foams offered for a 70 Charger are either E-body or something generic..
Legendary sells a set (bottom and back foam) where the bottom foam is just wrong but the back foam looks correct...
Need some measurements for a B-body strut rod:
shoulder to shoulder length
diameter of strut rod where it fits in the LCA (between shoulder and thread)
diameter of K-frame hole
Picture for reference:
I need the precise distance between the block (440) and the face of a 3 ring ATI Super Damper. Block reference should be timing cover/water pump housing attachment face.
Here is a pic (not mine) - is the forward looking oil pump mounting face on the same plane as the timing cover mounting flat...
I want to add A/C again to my factory air 1970 Charger (was removed by a previous owner) and have some questions:
I plan on building a custom setup and the only parts I already have is the original A/C heater box and a NIB SD7H15 genuine Sanden compressor. So I still need a condenser and I...
How much material is around the pushrod holes on a Trick Flow 240 head? The holes are 1/2" wide and should work fine with 3/8" pushrods so when going to 7/16" pushrods I would need to open the hole to 9/16" to get the same clearance (1/8" total or 1/16" each side).
Or did you make the hole even...
Need a measurement of a 68-70 B-body lower ball joint as I don't have one laying around.
Can anyone measure the distance between the balljoint stud and the center of the tie rod attachment hole?
Thanks a lot!
