I was going to order a front end kit from PST, and noticed it did not include the sway bar bushings. It seems there are two sizes; 15/16 and 7/8. Anyone know what is standard on a '70 GTX. I don't have calipers handy. Thanks.
Thank you. And they are fairly close by- family road trip to WA may be in the works. I saw that Jim's Auto Parts had them as well- I have read a lot of complaints about them over the years so I was going to give them a pass. Unless I was thinking of some other company. Thanks again.
That is indeed the part. Unfortunately, a good fabricator i am not. That being said, I may be forced to give it a go. Not like I want a show car- just something to lay some rubber with and look have decent while doing it.
Hello everyone. After a lengthy delay, I am finally able to work on my car. Unfortunately during the time away it seems that AMD has discontinued the rear quarter lower patch panels. I have searched online but haven't found any in stock. Does anyone have a source or an idea where I could find...

Hey everyone. I cleaned up my belts with simple green and they came out great. However, much of my car came in boxes and I now realize that I seem to be missing some belts. I checked online at some vendors, but came up with different pieces depending. I assume that this is because they used a...
I will pick up a hone as I cannot raise the piston all the way up due to scale in the bore. I don't want to force it and create more problems. I may just pull it and send out the block for machine work and rebuild it at home.
Here is a close up of the corrosion in the cylinder I beat the piston with wood and hammer while my brother tried to turn the crank bolt. Hard work, but we freed it up. removed much of the scale from the cylinder. The cylinder doesn't feel pitted, rather more like there is some scale build up on...
Okay, so I needed to hide out in the garage on Sunday. The f'n engine still wouldn't budge. So, what the hell, I pulled the head off and this is what I found:
So I took off the valley pan and noted a bit of sludge and lots of orange overspray. There is some oily sludge pools in the depressions as well. Plus, lucky me, I found a zap strap that someone left behind! There does appear to be a white grease smeared in areas. I think the cam looks newish...
