What's the best way to clean out the freeze plug water jackets on a big block?

I currently have my 413 on an engine stand still complete before I do a top end rebuild. I am NOT going to hot tank the block. What is a good method to clean the water jackets? :thankyou:

    What does this fan fit?

This fan measures 19-1/2" across from blade tip to blade tip. Would this fit into those re-pop 1962 (2) piece metal fan shrouds? Also, what engine did this originally come on, if anyone knows? Thanks!
