I decided to add the hemi hood scoop so I could get the victor intake to fit. Added at least 40 ponies on my 512 stroker and opened up the RPM range quiet a bit. I'm not noticing any extra cooling.
Yes this is what I have been trying to get from this thread. Please read my original post. My Torker 2 Barely fits. I want a max port intake but do not know which one wil fit. I am willing to add the hemi scoop to buy some real estate.
Thanks for all the replies here.
I am hoping to keep my custom cold air. We modified the air cleaner base to drop it as low as possible. I am using an 1/8 inch phenolic spacer and the air cleaner just barely rubs the hood so there is no way I can use a taller manifold without cutting a hole in...
Does the RPM have the Max Ports needed to match my super victor heads? I have been told I can get the RPM Air Gap to flow as needed but not sure about the RPM.
Thanks for the reply. If you have any pics to post or send my way it would be helpful. I would really like to go with the low pro stock hemi scoop. Not sure if its possible.
I have a 440 stroker in a 67 coronet and had to run a torker 2 intake to barely fit under the hood. I would like to upgrade that intake with a max port style and looking for some fitment answers. If you are running a big block with the hemi hood and a better flowing intake than Torker 2 I would...

Do you remember how much of a temp drop the scoop gave you? I think 10degrees or more on a warm day is worth it.

For what its worth I did have an interesting discussion with a tech at US Radiator. They make a radiator that has 2 x 1 inch tubes and I was told by a few friends it might cool better than the 3 row...
I figured I'd get the whole cooling system debate here. I'm pretty well versed on all the cooling ins and outs and realize 204 isn't considered hot. I like my cars running under 180 at highway speed. For many reasons not worth debating. This is not a fan issue because it actually will cool down...
Update on this vapor lock issue I was having. The stock system was just not able to keep up with the requirements of a 600+HP 1000CFM setup. The vented cap actually has a one way check valve and that was not allowing enough air in so I drilled an 1/8 inch hole and the venting problem was...
67 Coronet with new 512 stroker and its running a little warmer than I would like. Cruising down the highway it gets 195-204degrees. Not overheating but I would like to run cooler.

Its possible that the return line in clogged by the filler neck. I have recently replaced everything below the filler neck but did not check the return line. I am currently using the Stant 11646 cap which is non vented. I called Laysons to see if there is a vented cap for these cars and they...
