    71 Charger Reborn

If you can swing the cost go back to HF or Tractor Supply and buy yourself a Mig Welder (gas is easier than flux core). Not only can you fill those bothersome holes but you can do a ton of other tasks. I agree with you painting your car. Watch some videos, take your time with the prep, possibly...

    440 and trans

Hello Scott, My advice to anyone selling anything is to go online and search like your trying to buy what your selling. That will give you a ballpark idea. Also the folks on here will provide good advice.

    Removing oil pan question

The Trans pan is a much easier undertaking. Before I take on a job like this I go to the closest Quarter ($0.25) Car Wash (the one with the do it yourself spray wands) with some old school car ramps. It is best to do this at night as most owners / operators will not allow you to use ramps to get...

    First time engine rebuild

I am not an expert but in my limited experience I would: 1) Figure out what you want out of this motor (carb/fuel inj, valve train, comp ratio, electronics, etc). 2) Find a local Machine shop that the local muscle car clubs endorse and have an earnest discussion with them about your...

    Workplace Pranks

Another fun thing to do was since a lot of 80's thru 90's Dodge Minivan Keys would work on a lot of other Dodge Minivan Doors (not the ignition) was to go into a buddies Minivan and turn the Windshield Wipers on high speed and Radio volume way up and watch the shock on his face when he started...

    Workplace Pranks

I work in CAD Design. When I still did manual Drafting, we had our own way of messing with newbies or annoying folks. Sending new guys for the "Mylar Stretcher" or telling them to get you a box of "Arrow Heads". When we moved to CAD, tricks for the annoying folks were to switch the mouse speed...

    The world around me today...

1 Wild RT When I was when 15-19 I was constantly harassed by the local PD. Why? Because I was a long haired punk, who drove a primered 70 Roadrunner, which had different tires in the back (60's on Cragers) than the front (70's on black rims). The exhaust was loud, the stereo was loud, I was out...

    I need a welding machine

Another option is try to get in with a local Estate sales company. You can often find good stuff at them. I found my gently used Millermatic 185 on the cart with everything to weld solid core except the tank for $225. The new tank, filled, was $195 from a local welding supplier. Good luck!

    Here's my Son's 71 Charger (Build Thread)

This is awesome! The skills and the feeling of how hard work can be rewarding in more than just the finished product. The time you are able to spend with your son and the memories you are creating are priceless. I know that all the mechanical and shop skills I learned from working on old Mopar's...
