I intend to.
When I was growing up there wasn't even a booster seat involved... and I never remember my parents' cars having 3-point belts in the back. I'm not saying it's the absolute safest way, but all of us survived...
Well I'm really glad I asked here... otherwise I see I could've ended up in quite a pickle. I assumed the spindle/steering arm was all one piece.
Luckily, Home Depot has a 12pt 1/2" combination wrench for $3...
Thank you guys
Wait- is the knuckle 2 seperate pieces? If I remove the bolts from the backing plate, is the whole assembly going to come apart?
Whoever designed this deserves a kick square in the nads.
I saw using a shaved down 1/2" as a recommendation on a google search. However, I'm working on this car in a storage lot (bringing it back to life), and I do not have a bench grinder (or a garage to put one in) so that really isn't an option. I am thinking I may just have to remove the backing...
I'm trying to replace the front wheel cylinders on my '66 Belvedere, and I have a couple questions. I checked the FSM and it was no help.
First off, is there a way to get them off without removing the backing plate? I can't seem to get a wrench in there to loosen the bolts, which are partially...
Ha! Well I did manage to get it to fire. However there's no gas getting to the carb which I have traced to the fuel pump. Gas is getting to it but not through it. It did run when I put some gas down the vent tube, so I know it will run. I did have to give it new plug wires... since apparently a...
I haven't posted here in some time, mostly because my '66 Belvedere II sedan has been sitting and I've been doing nothing with it.
That's going to change this weekend (hopefully).
My plan is to get it running again, fix what needs fixing and cruise it... to one of the stops on the Power Tour...
I somehow ended up with 2 driver quality cars, and I wouldn't trade one of them for an unusable car. I like being able to take my junk to work or grocery shopping.
I think my wife and I need to have this talk LOL actually she's fairly supportive, well maybe not "supportive" but she doesn't stop me from working on my junk nor really complain as long as the bills get paid.
"We conduct these strikes because they are necessary to mitigate ongoing, actual threats, to stop plots, to prevent further attacks and, again, to save American lives," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said then. "These strikes are legal, they are ethical and they are wise."
I'd rather...
I wish the footage they show was uninterrupted, or at least they'd pick up where they left off and not just show 48% Corvettes, 37% Mustangs, 12% Chevelles and 2% of anything else.
For instance yesterday I was watching one of the older auctions on Velocity, and there was what looked like a kick...
LOL The Mazda isn't #1 on my list. Don't get me wrong, I love my Mazda because it's "mine". My first engine swap, lots of custom stuff that I've done to make it "mine". The car has been a real learning experience for me, and it's actually the car I've had the longest out of ANY car I've ever...
One of the ideas discussed with my Belvedere was making it into the "Belverino"... I passed on the idea but it has crossed my mind. If I ever got another one real cheap I'd consider it.
'57 Ford, either a Fairlane, Custom, Ranchero or Ranch Wagon.
'54 Ford F-100 (has to be a '54, for the grille)
'68 Chevelle
'59 Impala or El Camino
Either that or I'd probably still own my '53 Studebaker and '69 VW kit car.
