you may get by without a lot of tunnel work with the auto. I am just not sure about that. If you can compare it to a 727, that should answer things for you.
I put a 6.4 with a TKO600 in my 72 charger. We got by with the angle on the motor and tranny. However, when I moved to a ZF six speed, we had to cut the tunnel. Much better fit now and better pinion angle.
LOL, hollar next time you are in this neck of the woods. I live one block off the parkway, between lights 7 and 8. The toy box shown in the article is a great hang out.
I did, we were out in California, doing the El Toro event. A new event acouple friends and I put on. The Charger was put through its paces there. Fun times indeed.
After 52 years and many cars, life experiences, it takes alot to impress me these days. However, in the June,2010 issue of Hot Rod, a buddy of mine and myself got a six page story about our protouring cars, his camaro and my charger and how we love to drive them. It was a great article and I...
Here is a picture of the finished car, doing one of the things it was designed to do, and doing it well. Notice the new paint on hood and different color billboards than originally planned.
Here is a shot of it, with the street tires and wheels
Here it was getting ready for shots taking by...
I can not complain about their customer service. Going into this project we all knew that they had not ever done a third gen b body. the front worked out right, absolutely no issues there. The rear was different, because fitment just did not work out with the third gen. I finally gave up on...
Notice where the heater hoses and A/C lines come out of the firewall. They are in the tray where the wiper arms are. We cleaned up the firewall since the factory holes did not work with the vintage air setup.
BTW, all acc. on the engine, compressor, starter, alternator, etc are straight from...
After the front and rear end pieces were installed we moved on the the drivetrain. I scored a 6.4 392 crate motor early on, if fact it is one of the first ones offered to the public. I have done alot of business with Mark and Street and Performance and this was the first one he got his hands on...
There are several great rendering folks out there. If you go to my website I have a section just for them to show off their work. The cost varies, just check with them, there will be links to their contact points.

Thanks,
Here are some pictures of the frontend when it...
Thanks, looks like I will be about project number 5, late to the game. I have started a thread, waiting for mod approval or something. Then I will post the rest of the story once it is up and running.
During my stay in Scottsdale for the O7 Barrett Jackson event, I found this car in the local paper. It was an original, rustfree SE that a guy had just lost interest in. He had redone the interior, painted the car, rebuilt the engine, tranny, new frontend, brakes, etc and simply stopped. It has...
Well thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.
Is there a particular place to start a project thread?
Here are a couple pictures of the car, but I will start a complete thread soon as I know where to do it.
Yes, that bar bolts into the old shock tower. New suspension eliminated the need for...
Just finishing up this project. 392hemi, TKO600, Dana 60, xv parts.
here's one with race wheels and tires. For those interested 295x18 fronts and 305x18s rear, and no cutting needed, not even rolled lips on rear.
Business end of things, of course this was a few weeks ago, not everything...
XV for me. I choose their Stage II package front and rear so not exactly stock suspension anymore, but their sway bars are the best I have found.
I do think Hotchkis has recently gotten into the Mopar market as well.
I just found this forum searching for info on late model hemis in older mopars. I have just completed such a transformation and wonder how it would go over in the mopar world. It is a 392 crate motor, TKO 600 tranny and Moser Dana 60 so mostly Mopar parts, just newer than ever could have been...
