Storing the car with it off its suspension?

If you have stock rubber control arm bushings that's the worst thing you can do. If installed properly they would have been tightened with the suspension at normal ride height Stored hanging down the rubber will be deformed/ twisted all winter. Jacks or blocks under the lower control arms is...

why i dont like to ship

Nah..this system of bargaining has been going on for 100 years. I ask 10..you offer 8 and the deal is struck at 9. Shipping is also negotiable. As suggested do the shipping arrangements and costing from home. ....it's only a good deal when two people are happy.

Anyone ever have their 383 dyno'ed? Just trying to get a idea...

i think too many guys worry about HP numbers.A long time racer often said that his hi hp builds never et'd well at the strip. .. on the street low rpm torque is more important.

    So...back to the 361

Well...i'm an older member and very happy with my stock 340 Dart. So if the 361 with a gear and a converter in an early B body ( 63 or 64) would break the tires loose easily, run hi 14's and cruise nicely i'd probably stop right there! I think the key would be a short duration moderate lift cam.

    So...back to the 361

Has anybody ever raced a 361 4brl model with decent gears and a converter? Depending on which book you read the 305 hp and 400 ft. lbs should be respectable in a light car.

Anyone ever have their 383 dyno'ed? Just trying to get a idea...

383's love to rev and make the best power when they do.

Anyone ever have their 383 dyno'ed? Just trying to get a idea...

cam for lo end torque (short duration decent lift) if it'a a street motor.A big cam will perform poorly at lo rpm but make a better hp number at hi revs...where you won't be driving.
  16. ir3333

    361 performance?

and a bit of a converter would easily wake the lo end up. 400 ft. lbs of torque is plenty.
  17. ir3333

    361 performance?

what are the stock valve sizes in the 361 motors...and i think they were rated for 9.2:1 compression. Wonder what the actual compression was?
