What's the short version of the differences between a 71 and 72 A904? I need to do a light duty rebuild on a 904 to get my car mobile. I don't know what it came from, but it is non-lockup, looks virgin, and the casting date on the tail shaft is about Aug of '71, which leads me to believe it...
I'm working on my '71 Challenger (yeah, I know), getting it back into daily driver status. It has a Gen 3 5.7 swap and uses the Gen 3 pump, and yes, I know it makes way more pressure than the old style. I have the toe set to 1/16" in, all the positive caster the stock geometry allows (barely...
I'm swapping 440 blocks from my cracked original to a '77 motorhome block. The block was virgin bore/deck, already at the machine shop, line honed, magnafluxed, and bored to .020 for a customer that went to jail and sold the block for the bill. I had the bore upped to my .040 over and decked...
Brand new, directly from Cometic, never opened or handled. These aren't stocked anywhere and there is a 5 week lead time from Cometic, 2 months from Summit. The block I bought them for was no good, and the new one has too much chamfer for the 4.410 bore size.
Chrysler B/RB V8 Cylinder Head...
The block I am prepping to replace my cracked Original has HUGE chamfers. Some will come out with decking, but I will still need to use 4.590 bore head gaskets to keep the fire ring away form the edge.
496" @ 4.360, 10.4:1 compression, Ported Eddie RPM's, little over 600 HP.

After buying the wrong one once, I thought I'd put some effort into getting the right one the second time.
I would expect there to be 4 basic versions: (updated)

w/o VVT, MDS =
VVT, nonMDS = [05037379BC] ??

I bought this for a project, installed it, now I'm going Gen 3 hemi and need an 8-bolt. 352.99 at Summit, I'll take $300 Shipped.
I'm going thorough a 50K mile '13 Durango 5.7 that had 50k on it and wiped the cam. There are a few embedded flecks of metal in the main bearings from the cam, so I'm replacing them.
What Clevite number should I be using? M2220 or M2296? A/P/H?
What part number for the thrust bearing?
What is...
I have 2 separate engines that burn a little oil due to leaking valve stem seals. One is horrible if it sits, but clears up after about 5 minutes. The other is persistent but light.
Does the burnt oil affect the O2 reading in real-time, or is it just damaging in the long term?
I'm getting ready to replace the rear half of the rear frame rails and the torsion bar crossmember in my '68 Charger (2 completely separate operations, not running concurrently). I have the chassis diagram here, but can someone show me with PHOTOS the correct locations and methods to reference...
I ran this carb on my '67 Charger for a while when I was drag racing. I do open road racing now and have moved to EFI. This thing is a beast and was perfect for a 500 inch stroker with a 6500rpm shift point. I'll get pics this evening.
Great condition, and I'll include in some new pump...
Stock 5.9L Magnum with RPM airgap. Idles at 20"Hg, Timing is 16° - 35° by 2800, Vac advance is in use

I seem to have found the unicorn of replacement parts. None of the vendors seem to list this application. Does anyone here have access to a parts manual or know from experience which to use?
I may also further complicate the matter with the fact I am using a Quicktime bellhousing and need...
I remember this being a big selling point about being reusable. I Had to pull a head to figure out why a leakdown test on #5 with the piston at TDC pushed coolant out of the radiator. Looks like it was coming in right where the little embossment is before passing between the cylinders. I'm...
I just installed the CPP disc brake kit for my '71 Challenger that I picked up using one of eBay's 20% off coupons... $320 delivered and it came form Summit. Yes, I know this is an E-body, but this is the most active forum for this topic.
My question is about my master cylinder. I replaced...

At the strong recommendation of a coworker, and after sampling the fruits, I purchased a Traeger Junior Elite. So far I have cooked a pork roast and a spatchcock chicken. I followed my coworkers instructions, and they turned out great. I am COMPLETELY retarded when it comes to cooking, and I...
I've got a Van 833OD in my '68 Charger. The van shifter mounting plate was a piece of steel that put it high and forward of the B-body mounting holes. I have the correct shifter mount now, the van rods/levers, and a set of the aftermarket zinc-plated 68 B-body rods/levers. I can't get a combo...
I'm doing a disc conversion that uses drum hubs and need like a .642 knurl. Disc studs don't fit, the rears are .625 and slip in perfectly by hand, no good. Who is using what?
