70 Satellite Roadrunner clone drag race car. B5 Blue two year old paint has never seen weather. Solid, straight steel body with new quarters, new wheel houses mini-tubbed 3inches, new trunk and extensions. Fiberglass one piece front end, fiberglass doors and six-pack hood. Twelve point cage and...
Here is what I did a few years back after doing some measuring on stock lower control arms. I saw a few vendors selling coil over lowers for around $350 per pair and figured I would make my own. They are made from 1 x 2 square tube .125 thickness. The ball joint ends are solid bar stock reamed...
Since you will be pulling it apart anyway, try this. Check the top of the pump housing and the Tstat cover with a big flat file. I'll bet they are bent from previous overtightening. Do some careful filing and get them flat again. These do not need a lot of torque to seal if they are flat. You...
Sorry, missed the line about metrics in your earlier post (how dare you) Nice looking swap. My point was simply that although we as Mopar fans has often worshipped our T bar front ends and while I don't recommend anything that is unsafe for street driven vehicles, these suspensions had their...
I can't remember if the late model manifolds dump into the same spot as the late 60's ones. I am guessing you are using the old style manifolds. I think lots of people have sealed these by tapping for set srews with hardening threadlocker. All hail the smog head.
I did my 10.7" disc swap on a 70 RR about 20 years ago when the swap articles hit the scene and used the pin type calipers like you have. When I discovered my first Mopar Chassis book, I did the 1 inch at a time movement through the entire travel, measured toe, put into a graph just like the...
I would get the car to a lift or safely on stands and without slamming it in, put the lever into low, then get under the car, disconnect the linkage where the selector lever meets the rod from the linkage. I'll bet the selector is not going all the way into low at the tranny. Adjustment issue...
You didn't mention much about your charging system (mechanical or solid state regulator) is the dash pulsing too along with the ammeter gauge? Things I would check: Good ground from headlight harness to body to negative terminal/block, battery holding full charge, if it's a mechanical regulator...
If you think that is cool, look up Direct Metal Laser Sintering. You can make parts from inconel, titanium, aluminum, etc. What do you think will happen when 440source gets hold of this? Seriously, there is technology out there that blows your mind! Maybe I'll hang on to those old rusty 70...
I would double check the linkage adjustment and make sure the manual lever is going into the correct spots, especially if you are using an aftermarket shifter. If the problem is still there, get the car to a lift and get a pressure gauge on your taps. Do those things before takling the pan off...
I like the Summit Racing copy of the Holley Black that i use for Bracket race only. It is noisy but all vane/rotor pumps are. Is this a street car? These are not the safest fuel system even with ignition reliance per NHRA. Why not mechanical? No pump likes to deadhead so for the street, a return...
Assuming there never were any droplets there from other fuels, you would think it isn't related to your gas brand change. If the deposits are hanging around for more than a few seconds without evaporating, my guess is the droplets are oil getting pulled into to the low-pressure "void" around the...
I have an unused, still in the box Griner manual LB apply reverse pattern VB for 904/727. Never been on a transmission and has the sealining rings, spacers and instructions as included from CRT. This is an '06 unit. Ihave used an identical unit for years and this was my spare. My class can now...
Common Sense Rules
I am a small town boy in Central NY and we have had such rules for the last 20 years. Most all of us probably have local ordinances we are unaware of and the issue is usually selective enforcement (yard sale permits, unregistered vehicles outside enclosed structures, repairs...

Don't trust any marked damper until you make up a piston stop ( I drill out an old spark pug and tap for a 5/16 bolt) and find your exact TDC, rig up a new pointer if need be. You will probably need close to 20 degrees initial and 34 total which means your distributor will most likely need some...
Year one has the tees. Oher places probably do too for less than $25. Here is the link

I had 69 and 70 with 8.25 and 8.75 that used either set up. I would get the "tee" and then you can use the threaded hose. Just MO. And of course...
