-maybe check the float levels of the carb... needle/seat going bad, letting extra gas thru?
-carb throttle linkage or butterflies hanging up, causing them to stay a little open?
-might still be a vacuum leak hiding somewhere, maybe on the carb near throttle shaft area. I know on Holley's the...
nice charger!
For the idle drop, first thoughts that come to mind is possibly a vacuum leak? Maybe timing is off?
Should get out the timing light and see what's going on... at that high of an idle in park, maybe the centrifugal advance could be operating--> idle drops when put in gear --->...
I use 3 inch dual electric cutouts w/ 1 7/8ths TTI headers... work well and sound bitchin'... Usually closed on the street, but sometimes I gotta give a ricer some of that Mopar sauce and uncork it. Eh, sue me! Or at a car meet I roll with it opened up, because who doesn't want to hear a...
Could incorrect tranny fluid be a cause of the clutch slipping at higher RPMs though? I wonder if that's a clutch related issue...clutch fork maybe? oily flywheel? idk
Comparing the two I have these specs:
Current Trick Flow installed valve springs-
1.550" O.D. dual spring with damper (TFS-16094)
138 lbs. @ 1.950" installed height
430 lbs. @ 1.250" open
420 lbs. per inch rate
.680" maximum lift
Recommended Comp valve springs for my cam(925-16)-
1.509"...
Thanks, and I was thinking that I also have a set of 1.7 ratio roller rockers available too. This would raise the lift to about .610ish I believe. Assuming those fit with piston clearance and all that, is there any downside to using the higher ratio rockers? Would that be more appropriate for...
Hey guys, I was wondering if you think these valve springs for a 440 build would work for my setup... The heads I have are aluminum Trick Flow 240 (TFS-61617802-C00) with valve spring specs:
1.550" O.D. dual spring with damper (TFS-16094) 138 lbs. @ 1.950" installed height
430 lbs. @ 1.250"...
Sounds like it was running lean, one way or another.. Do you have an electric fuel pump by chance? I just had a similar situation happen recently where: car was dying up hill, struggling under load sometimes, etc... Turns out my 20 year old electric fuel pump finally quit. Popped a new one in...
Hi everyone, I want to alert you that there is a petty scammer going around here on the WTB section.
I posted a WTB ad for a p/s pump pulley, and got a PM from a random account telling me to email their "friend" who has one. I contacted the guy's email provided and he had pics of the pulley...
Thanks, I just took the housing off yesterday to clean, and also used ultra black, but on the o-ring. Will see if that works, if not I might try and take out the ring, clean, and only use ultra black.
Hi everyone, I was curious if this cheap Dana 60 I found on CL could be a decent candidate to modify to fit into a 69 RR? The only info it has is: "Dana 60 with 4.10 axle ratio from Dodge D200"... I saw some posts where people cut/customized these Dana 60s to fit into B bodies.
I currently have...

For this pump pictured here. Would prefer a solid pulley. Hasn't arrived yet to look at specifics.
