I am going to put a vintage air kit in it. The questions been answered. Thank y’all I guess the blower motors not working as I have supplied power to the green and it doesn’t work. The ground wire is grounded too. Oh well it’s not that cold.
So I’ll be brief as possible but I want context so it doesn’t seem like I’m trying to cut corners.
1967 gtx that’s restored now and my plan was a complete unit from vintage a/c. It has a painless harness in it. my dads flying in tonight. My plan is to surprise him by picking him up in the car...
So this 727 was rebuilt and once it was filled with fluid it began a very slow leak at where the tail shaft meets the rest of the transmission case. I pulled the tail shaft in car and replaced the seal and it still leaks. Is this common and what should be my next move. I am always super quick at...
yes that is the exact instructions I’m using. See how it says to just splice it In line with the hot wire? There has to be more than that. I’m missing something obvious I’m sure
Yes this is my first time with painless as well as mopar and they are very hard to follow along. They don’t even offer a simple wiring diagram. The system they use is not very smooth. But yes whatever you are trying to tell me sounds like the advice I’m looking for. You are telling me to bypass...
To start I’m not sure what the correct name for it is. But this is the first time I have wired a mopar and they have some stuff chevys don’t have. I’m using a painless kit and I wired the car up but the alternator isn’t charging. According to the kit I’m going to tie it in line with a hot wire...
haha ok thank you so the heads are worth around $400? In my experience all my mopar stuff is worth scrap prices while I own it but the second someone else has it well then it’s solid gold
I have a set a 2843906 heads that came off my 440. It ran great but I put together the 550hp Hughes build with aluminum heads. I don’t know what these heads are worth and the recently sold on eBay had a set for $400 and a set that just sold for $1400 and I can’t distinguish a difference in the...
I lost it during the many moves in the past 10 years. I dont care to stay original. the 440 is far from stock appearing so oem is not a factor? I am wondering if i could just run a remaned GM pump from summit racing?
just ordered a rtr summit distributor and a new blaster 2 coil. I guess I don't need to use the ecu or the ballast resistor with this set up.. wish me luck
It was sputtering... Now it wont do anything. I had a toggle switch wired up so I can kick it over from under the hood and last night I left the key in the on position and the brand new coil I just put on it made a huge mess. It wasn't 180 off. I checked probably 5 times cause that's the first...
When you say the pigtail out of the coil. I believe you meant to say the pigtail out of the distributor. If so yes that does help. Im going to go make sure im getting spark and go from there. I hope I can get it id love to hear this 440 come to life. should be pretty nasty sounding
Its all wired correctly? Now im trying to figure this out. It has fuel.. It sputters a little sometimes. If I turn the key to the on position and test light the coil. It lights up. Should I be able to do that with the pigtail coming out of the distributor? positive on one and the other negative?
Thank you BeepBeep. just what I was looking for. and the instructions are downloadable on the painless website for anyone to use. But they are literally follow step by step instructions and if you don't do it like that. Which I didn't. you are screwed and the wiring diagram that is on the...
Never built a mopar before. so the whole ignition system is all new to me. I bought a painless kit and couldn't be more disappointed with what I received. Does anyone have a easy to read ignition system wiring diagram pic? it would be so appreciated im pulling my hair out between the 2 prong...
