    Engine stalls intermittently…ignition switch?

Checked all wiring. Seems good. Waiting for a new ignition switch from Classic Industries to come in this week. Will post an update after I install it and drive for a while.

    Engine stalls intermittently…ignition switch?

Forgot to mention…I put an FBO ignition box on and that bypasses (jumps) the ballast resistor, so that should be removed from the equation.

    Engine stalls intermittently…ignition switch?

Instant off. Sometimes tries to run again before off completely. That’s why I was thinking it’s the switch making/losing contact intermittently.

    Engine stalls intermittently…ignition switch?

Thanks...would the ballast cause an intermittent failure?

    Engine stalls intermittently…ignition switch?

Hmmmm… I’m thinking the switch is loose due to the collar and causing intermittent fa. Will see how it goes now that it’s tightened up…thanks!

    Engine stalls intermittently…ignition switch?

Hi all… Just need a quick brain check here. Took Buzzbee to the local Cars and Coffee in Ocean City this morning. Ran great (and has been since the new Firecore distributor a few weeks ago), but when I was nearly there, I came up to a stop light and it stalled. Pushed in the clutch and...

    Firecore Electronic Distributor

Installed a new Firecore electronic distributor in Buzzbee today. What a difference!! Old distributor was ok under light load or slowly increasing to cruising speed. Any moderate to heavy throttle or higher rpm cruising it would start to miss and generally run poorly. With this new...

My experience - Scarebird Front Disc Brake Conversion

Yes…strangely. But it works. One would think a seal for a 77 Cordoba rotor would be the right part but… Here are all of the part numbers needed for my conversion. All from Rock Auto except the brackets and calipers/pads which I got from USCT/Scarebird:

My experience - Scarebird Front Disc Brake Conversion

I believe it’s a drum master cylinder. Dual reservoir. USCT/Scarebird stated the factory master cylinder works. Only concern I would have is if the car has a single reservoir master cylinder, then you have to be really careful to make sure it doesn’t run dry as the pistons expand as the pads...

My experience - Scarebird Front Disc Brake Conversion

Sorry - I should have mentioned that. I am using the dual reservoir manual master cylinder. Works great. A lot less pedal pressure required than with the drums.

Scarebird (uscartool.com) B Body Part Numbers

Thanks Nxcoupe…that makes sense to me now. I assumed one set of brackets for B body since they only list one and same when I talked to the rep at Carlisle. So the kit they have now versus before now use 11.75” Cordoba rotors… Kit is ordered, so parts acquisition begins!!

Scarebird (uscartool.com) B Body Part Numbers

Ordered my kit earlier today… Thinking about this a bit further…the calipers will mount in the same position regardless of rotor size correct? So it’s not the rotor size that would cause any interference, just the size of the caliper correct? 10.75” vs 11.75” rotors and would just dictate how...
