Just back to originality where the car belongs. No inch mindfuck for me. No desires to beat my companion with greater, bigger, wider and also not interested in joining any Cragar herd :) and then looking at each other's Cragars... Just a few men can mentally bear 14" inch classic wheels. I am...
Just like wearing white Nike sneakers. Monkey business for the masses (here we go again). I think I know where the 'spoke' Cragar fetism comes from, the American horse wagon era?
Don't mind, wheels and tires are the men's boob lifting problem I discovered. Big wheels and tires are a kind of viagra to elevate the coolness of his classic car I suppose :).
My wheels were on the car when I bought it. The original 14" mag 500's will be back on the car as soon as the rims are restored. Back to original quality.
I have contacted them. No response yet. With a 1 1/8 slot the headliner will be hanging 1 inch too low at the point were the rods go through the slots and the headliner will not fit tight to the roof rods?
The distance between the 2 rod slots on the new headliner is exact 12 inch what it should be, so broader slots will cause a problem for the nice tight fit then?
Just got my new headliner from SMSautofabrics.com. Not quite happy but at least it is made out of fabric and not vinyl. The slot is far to broad, 1 1/8 inch instead of 3/8.
Is this going to be a problem for a tight fit?
So what do these numbers and signs actually mean?
- 31700-2 (the other door emblem says 31700-1), the 1 and 2 for left and right/right and left? The emblems seem to be exactly the same so why bother? What about 31700?
- 55062, what does this represent?
- 3506410, part no I am pretty sure of
-...
My trunk/jack decal got a bit loose, so I pulled it off carefully. Is there some remedy to flatten the decal or is the best thing just to stick it on again as is?
