    400 big block- distributor, cap , rotor, wires and plugs are brand new. electronic ignition kit also new, accel coil not new but primary and secondary readings check out. no spark at the plugs. battery is good as well. i need someone to walk me through further diagnosing, im not sure what to do...

    Alright bear with me, I'm 19 and don't know a whole lot bout this. This 400 has 383 heads put on but why? Were they trying to compensate for the 400's low compression? And wht is the result as it is now?

    Recently bought a 69 roadrunner 383 high p car, numbers on both sides of the block read 3698630400. Pretty sure tht means it's a 400 block? If it is can anyone tell me more bout this engine, is it worth keeping?
