    Factory Decals

Off the subject a little, I’m getting ready to add the 440+6 to my 70 RR. Looking at NOS, I was wondering if the originals were reflective. Big price difference, not sure which way to go.

    EFI and MSD Tach wire

I have an MSD 6al, the Grey wire generally used for the tac signal coming off the box is now going directly to the FAST EFI module. 1/2 the posts I read say that splicing into the grey wire will cause spikes to the module and create a dirty signal-MSD informed me that wasn’t true. Just thought...

    Cooling Problem

I am using a 22” aluminum from ECP, stock shroud, 7 blade fan, oversized crank pulley, 180 degree thermostat, high flow aluminum water pump and I also use wetter water additive. This is on a 440, 30 over, stock 6 pack cam, mild head work, Dino at 395 at wheels. 425 at crank. No problems with...

    EFI and MSD Tach wire

Hey folks, thought I would pass this on. I am running a FAST efi with a FITECH 6 barrel throttle body, MSD 6al, MSD distributor and coil. The MSD tach wire is connected to the efi module. The dash tictoc tach. needs a signal. The tach. has been reworked for an MSD signal. My question was...

    New leaking coil

I had the same problem with an MSD Blaster mounted horizontally, for stock 6 pack set up. Called MSD and they told me not to mount them horizontally - oil filled will leak. They’re words, not mine. Bought a solid canister, mount it upside down if I want to with no problems.

    Any CB radio experts here?

So in my experience with cb’s dating back to the mid 70’s the twin mounts were used primarily for high van trailers from 12’8” and up. Running one good mirror mount on your left mirror is about the best you can get. Make sure you tune it to your radio. I’ve spent big money on heaters and...

    440 HP exhaust manifolds

wondering if these HP manifolds will fit 1970 440. Not sure if the parts are interchangeable. Not using them or plan on using them for awhile. Currently using Hedman Headers. (3992-2 is showing for a 68/69 440 magnum L/S, while the 6900 is showing for a 67 440 magnum R/S). The price and...

    3 speed windshield wiper switch

I did not know that, they seem to work fine. Travel of the wipers cover the whole window and they park on the bottom as they should. Something I don’t see? ( no pun intended)

    Timing marks on cam sprocket

So I got some clarification on the offset timing marks from Herbs Parts here in Delaware. He had 2 440s side by side that I could look at in various forms of teardown. You were right when you told me to rotate the crank 1 full turn to align the marks. I did try that and it worked well. I also...

    Timing marks on cam sprocket

Hey Doug, very good explanation. Thanks, that is just what happened. The original builder set it up 180 off on the exhaust and wired in the distributor to match. I was screwed from the start. Leave it to a Chevy guy working on a Mopar. Thanks

    Timing marks on cam sprocket

Just for everybody's info the old timing gear and the new one are the same diameter. The difference between old and new is the old one had two holes 180 apart so you could actually rotate the sprocket 180 to align the marks. The new one has a slot, and as a novice I would have thought that TDC...
