Fresh rebuild, engine break in went great. Ran engine several times driving up and down our road over the course of several weeks. All was well, then started losing oil pressure. Pulled the oil pump and discovered that the o ring on the pump shaft was not installed by the builder. Would this be...
I'm in the process of rebuilding my a/c system. All new factory components, but on the fence about switching from r12 to 134. I have read that I will need to take the EPR valve out of the compressor suction side because it isn't compatable with the 134. Also need to change the compressor oil...
I'm trying to figure out the valve stem length measurement as measured from the valve spring seat of the head to the tip of the valve. With the valve in the closed position. The service manual says to use tool c-3648. I don't have one of those tools nor had any luck finding one. These are '67...
Any body out there have a picture of the a/c box lower dash cover for a 69 b body that is installed or can tell me what hardware attaches it to the stud that comes out of the bottom of the air circulation/fresh air chamber. I have the three screws that attach it to the bottom of the dash but...
I have a NOS 2 speed wiper motor to install and just wondering if I can or even need to lubricate it before I get it installed. I see some access holes in the transmission area but don't know if that is for lubricating or if it is needed. I would feel better about getting it installed with new...
1969 Sport Satellite, my wiper pivots seem to be froze up. Anybody out there ever had theirs apart and rebuilt? I don't know if that is even possible. Can they be soaked in something to break them loose? I have new seals and gaskets, but they won't do me much good if the pivots are DOA.
I recently sent my radiator to Glen-Ray radiators to be recored and received it the other day. What a terrific job they did with it. I had been hearing for years they are the absolute best and now I know that they are indeed. Bob is an absolute pleasure to talk to and really went the extra mile...
Since members here come from all over the country and world, it got me to thinking, what did (or still do) you call going out cruising in your hometown? Back in the day in my hometown it was popular to say we were "dragging the gut" or " puttin'" or just simply "draggin' main". What did you...
My wife and I just returned from a much needed vacation down on the east coast. We stayed two nights in Ocean City Maryland. I was calling it Fartcan City because there are literally thousands of slammed to the ground, loud exhaust import cars cruising that town. I was poo pooing the whole scene...
I'm looking for some rocker molding clips for my 69 Sport Satellite. These are different from the commonly available clips as these have two attaching pins as opposed to just one. 9 of them are needed and would be great if anybody has any. I will attach a photo.
