I am looking for an original (doesn't need to work) AM radio for my 1970 Plymouth GTX. I need a core radio so send in to have it converted to modern electronics. I am told this is a one year radio only and has the round knobs.
Let me know if you have one and what you need to have for it. THANKS!
Well, I wasn't doing anything useful so I decided to go through your trip thread, too. Truly an awesome journey! This is something that I am going to do when I retire with my car. The only difference will be I won't have to stick to a schedule. I"LL BE RETIRED!!! LOL!
Also, I will be visiting...
I just read through this whole thread and I'm very impressed with your build! There is a lot of useful information that I am going to refer to as I do upgrades to My GTX. I hope to see you at one of our cruises again next spring. (Burnt Orange 70 GTX guy from Mopar Madness cruise in Allentown) Mike
Where is the best place to buy a good quality 4-speed starter relay? The ones on amazon look cheap and are cheap. Without going NOS, what are the options?
I had the same issue not long ago. The fuse was blown so I knew something had to be shorted. Sure enough, the wire harness was melted to the header. Fixed the short, re-routed the wires, and replaced the 20 amp fuse. All is well now.
I'm a little late to the party, but, DANG YOUR CAR IS GORGEOUS! I just read through your whole thread and you really paid attention to the details.
I've owned my 70 GTX since 1983 and want to do a complete restoration like yours in the near future.
I believe the one I'm looking for would not have the shield on the front of it, beings I have an Air Grabber hood. But if you wanted to sell it, what would you take for it?
Want to Buy!
Original Chrysler 70 B-body Big Block Air Grabber 6-pak/bbl air cleaner lid and base. Very nice condition. Paint not important. I will re-paint.
Pictures please. Thanks
