I would go with the look (intent) of the car. Have you built it as a stock appearing GTX? If so, I'd put 440 on it. If it is a "restomod" then put on 500. But as posted above, it's your ride, do as you like.
Advance used to have an 1157 socket with the "fingers," used a few of them several years ago. I think they were in their "Help" line of replacement parts.
Does your decklid have the cut outs for the wing mounts on the inner bracing? If it does, and you have the wing mounts, the mounts act as a template to locate the holes. If it doesn't I can get you some measurements tomorrow, but be sure you have a 71 go wing.
