First run was a 14.5- and I spun all the way through the 1/8 mile. My 60' on the 12.8 was 2.2 which is pretty slow so I have room for improvement. Thinking about either drag radials or slicks next year.

Another great looking RT! What incredible cars they were in their day...
My buddy went along to Cecil County Dragway in MD and snapped some photos. He's the same one that took the photo of the R/T along the Susquehanna at dawn.
The car ran a 12.8 @ 113 on street tires with a 4 speed and 3.54 gears. My first time down the track with it!
Anyone have a drivers door window sweep for a '69 Coronet? Mine is missing and I really don't want to buy a whole new set. I'm hoping someone has one laying around they would be willing to sell.
Can anyone tell me where to get a C-3951 shifter alignment tool? There is a slot for a neutral alignment pin but it doesn't go all the way through. The reverse tang is in the way. The manual refers to the C-3951. Is there any other way to get all the tangs lined up?
There are several things that could be causing your problem. The speedometer cable is not seated properly in either your speedometer or the tranny. The speedometer cable needs lubricated or replaced. Lastly, it is most likely your speedometer needs rebuilt. I would look at where the cable mounts...
Sorry Pete. I'll try to get some posted this week.

Anyone know why some of my pix when I post end up sideways? Some do and some don't although they are all on my ipad right side up?
I ordered the snap and installed it. The belt elastic fit perfectly. I did order an extra set of clear plastic belt retainers like they used on the back seat. I figured that if I hold the two straps of the shoulder harness together it will take some of the strain of the elastic and it should...
Can anyone tell me on the shoulder harness for a '69 RT, does the elastic strap snap on the harness or on an attached snap behind the harness mounted through the head liner?
thanks!
I am installing a stand alone MSD Distributor that only requires the two wires from the distributor to the coil. I also need a 12 volt wire to the positive side of the coil. If I no longer need the ballast resistor, which wire do I use for the coil?
There is a brown blue double wire on the left...
Need some advice- on my '69 RT, the pax side wiper arm bushing is worn out. The wiper arm will only move intermittently. Does anyone sell a replacement bushing? Can they be replaced or does the entire wiper pivot on the firewall need to be replaced?
Its interesting how it can be such a...
I rearched the springs in my '73 Cuda about 5 years ago and initially the car was about an inch higher than normal. It has since settled down to normal height. If your going to rearch for rake- overarch the springs to account for eventual settling. Air shocks- I ran Gabriel's in the '80s. They...
Mine is a '69 block and it is 3/8. Yours is a 440 right? I know the hemis
were 1/2". I'm not sure about the 440+6. I have the motor on a stand painted and ready for installation. The thought of opening it back up, drilling it out and having to worry about metal chips...if I knew the 3/8 was...
I agree with meep meep. Lots of vins were hand stamped and sloppy. If your block casting date and assembly date are in line with your car build date, I wouldn't worry about it. Frank Badalson told me that restamped vins are normally too perfect. I think yours is legit.
Looking for advice/opinions,
just finished assembling a 440 stroker motor stroked to 500". It should be around 500 HP. I don't anticipate spinning the motor more than 6000 rpm at the track. I have a 6 qt Milodon oil pan, melling high volume pump and a 3/8" pickup. I am also running a scraper...
