I had that same problem years ago. I put a heating pad (for your back) on each side of the block. Next morning all was thawed out. Sounds crazy but it worked!
If you have a steady hand and a grinder you can do it. Lay the gasket down mark it then find the top ring travel mark that. I placed a bare head on with only exhaust valves and checker springs. I ground a little, used Dykem checked and repeated until clear.
The motor has 440 Source heads. You think this could be part of the problem? I have TTI headers but they need cleaning and Im trying to get away from headers.
Did a mock up using Mopar cast valve covers and Felpro gaskets MS 90425. I cant remove the passenger valve cover unless I loosen the manifold. The extended gasket makes it too close to the valve cover. Any ideas?
Has anyone documented all these manifolds? The only one That Im sure of is the A12 with the wonky 6. Then there a cutoff 6, a 6 over a wonky 6, CH, CH6B...very confusing.
