Can Not Figure Out Why No Spark at Plugs

I use a formula that you may be familiar with or maybe even wrote: Where F = How fast I want to go today, K = Carburetor cfm, D = Initial Timing, and R = How many cups of coffee I've had

Can Not Figure Out Why No Spark at Plugs

Bob, I treat my car like my dick. It might not get driven every day but I like to tinker with it so when I do take it out, it's ready to go.

Distributor is leaking oil on my headers

Also maybe change to a lower weight oil. 100 PSI is pretty high, must be a lot of strain on the oil pump drive gear, especially when cold.

    Help wiring Miìni Starter

Geez, your good. I've just found the instructions myself after checking the item number on my invoice, and by the time I get back you've already posted a link to them! The connection under the rubber flap on the other side isn't to be used by the looks. So my red wires go on the battery positive...

    Help wiring Miìni Starter

So I don't need that extra wire that it comes with? Should I unplug it and cover the connector? What do you mean by "transfer wire"? Is it for testing the starter without the other wiring hooked up?

your opinion please - just received my restored headlight motor

How long do you think he took doing the job? $375 isn't much more than 3 hours work these days, at least here in Australia. One-off jobs always cost a lot more than mass produced stuff.

    Covering modern voltage regulator

Thanks guys, I'll take it for a drive and see how hot it gets. If it's only "engine bay" hot then I'll try the cover. It may even act as a heat shield from the engine heat. This is how it will look:

    Covering modern voltage regulator

My factory voltage regulator was replaced with an electronic regulator. I've cut a channel in the underside of the case from the original regulator and it slips nicely over the new one so it looks more original. I haven't fitted it yet until I am sure it will be OK. Will there be any issues with...

What's the deal with factory reproduction batteries?

Michael, just buy a regular good brand parts store battery from a local supplier. Peel the stickers off, give the case a light sand and spray it with black rattle can paint. It will look pretty good. My battery was yellow and blue before I painted it. You will go bankrupt buying all these Mopar...

    For the voltmeter conversion crowd

Someone should make up a poll: A. Do you like Ammeters B. Do you like Volt Meters C. Are you totally confused after reading this thread

Charging Fine Except Nothing at Idle Speed

Question: If you use a slightly smaller pulley can the alternator 'over rev" at high engine rpm? I've thought myself of changing the pulley to smaller one (pitch diameter of course), but wondered what effect it might have at high revs, as it's obviously spinning much faster than the engine and...
