Did you replace the dash light sockets? I just replaced my dash after painting and installed new dash light sockets, none of the repop sockets worked. I reinstalled all the original sockets and they worked.
First of all, thanks to all the FBBO people who gave me guidance with my electrical issues. I finally found out what the issue was....new Chinese made crappy sockets for the dash bulbs. I ordered new sockets to replace the missing one. I installed all the new sockets in the dash, nothing worked...
Thanks Beep, I finally figured out what the flashing light was from and you just confirmed it. I knew I could rely on FBBO for help. Looks like my only issue now is a lack of instrument dash lights. I'll be troubleshooting that today.
The alligator clip is attached to a ground and I touch the point of the probe to the powered threaded screws/nuts that are on the circuit board. When touched with the point of the probe, the probes light flashes.
I've been fighting my electrical problems for a couple of weeks now. I removed the dash when the car (66 Satellite) was painted. I labeled the connections and put them all back together. I will list the problems.
1. No dashlights
2. 1st fuse (accessories) slot on fuse block has no power. All...
I'm currently putting my 66 Satellite back together after painting and I'm having many electrical issues. The one that has me baffled right now, I have working headlights and taillights, however only the passenger side brake light works. I've replaced the bulbs with new bulbs, didn't change a...
I'm still working on the dash electrical, but I'm not sure how the fuse box is mounted. I understand it's under the dash to the left of the steering column. I would appreciate it if someone could post a picture of a 66/67 Belvedere/Satellite mounted fuse box. Thanks
Sorry, I had issues posting this. My problem is I missed labeling a couple of under dash connections after my car was painted and have no idea where these connectors belong. I've searched the schematic and laid on my back for hours looking for the correct connection locations. Also the previous...
Thank you Claw those pics are a great help and reminder, I couldn't remember how those wires were routed. Funny coincidence I used to tease my grandsons, calling myself the Claw and tickling them with claw-like hands.
I just stripped and repainted the engine bay of my 66 Satty in preparation of a new engine install. I pulled the wiring and am now confused how the wires are routed for the headlights. There is no hole in the rear of the headlight housing so the wires are obviously routed from the side of the...
Looking at 65hemi's posted picture it looks like the gas filler line (the silver pipe below the hinge) is adjacent to the battery. I've thought about moving my battery to the trunk and wondered about gas fumes and sparks inside the trunk area. How is that addressed and prevented?
Harnesses
I looked on the AB&E site that advertises on FBBO and saw they are sold out of most B body harnesses. Has anyone here used their harnesses, do they make them per your request or do they eventually catch up with their product inventory before you can order them?
