Can someone tell me what the tabs in the rear valance are for? There are 3 of them. The only wire that comes out of the back is for the license plate light and it comes out of the hole right above the light.

Has anyone got a picture on the rear side window of the relationship of the stainless trim and the cat whisker. The cat whiskers I have, have the chrome strip on them and it don't look right with the stainless trim and the holes do not line up right. The car is a 68 charger.

Beautiful car. But I thought dodge engines were the turquoise color and Plymouth was orange? This is always confusing to me on which color for the charger engines.

Looks great. I am at about the same place on mine. But once the major body work is done it will go a lot quicker.

So many variables to consider on weight. Disc or power drum brakes , air conditioning , wheels , tires even under coating can add weight. The dana is a lot heavier than a 8 3/4 and has larger axels. But they all seem to run just under 4000.

68 charger complete (as from factory) with spare tire and jack and full of fuel. Weighed 3770. My 300 C comes in at 4700. So these so called cheaper built cars of today out weigh there older counter part cars. (most of them)

Yes with or with out the latch it closes very true with 1/8th inch all the way down on the passengers side and almost 3/8 on the drivers side and again very true all the way down the crack. Rear quarters were both original to the car.

Is there any way to adjust the trunk lid on a 68 charger from side to side? I am replacing both rear quarters but even with the original quarters on the car the trunk lid fit very close on the passengers side and wide on the drivers side. I don't see much of a way to move it left or right unless...

I would not think it an option but yet my 70 satellite sport 318 with AC had one. It was also 22" radiator. It did have the mopar part number and star.

Not a true purest by any means. But I have always had a rule of thumb on old cars. If it is original and survived the years KEEP IT THAT WAY. We don't see too many this day and age that have survived. And if you want to modify one there are so many out there missing original parts. So why not go...

Thanks good information. Mine on my 68 charger are rotted and almost completely gone. But they done their job as nothing behind them even had any rust. Glad you posted this I might have bought the wrong ones as well.

First ask yourself. Did you buy the car as an investment or because you wanted the car? Also remember there not making any 68's anymore. The value will take care of its self. Like was posted before there is little you can do to a car that cant be changed back at some point.

Not bumpers but on the 68 charger front fenders I got from AMD the marker light holes are not centered on the crease. So I am not happy at all with them.
