Have got pricing for everything I need to be able to build a 482 Ci Hemi
by Tim@FHO. Something higher then by Mancini but I'm sure I have it back in techsupport and choise of correct matching parts for my needs.
Per
Great Patrick, I plan on buying there strokerkit because I can' find anybody else selling them for Hemi, at least not when I check the websites.
I know FHO should be one of the best builders but do they also sell parts?
Per
I bought block, heads and rockerassembly from a guy that changed his mind about his project so that's why I ended up building one instead of a crate.
Now, my block is a World/moparblock with casting# 5153843 and machined to
a P5155072 block.
1. This should mean 4.250" bore and honed...
I think the gas overhere is almost the same nowadays as in the US.
Also heard that Hemis could take some higher cr due to the Hemidesign.
I will then go for a set of Diamond 10. pistons and a single carb setup.
What's the important things when it comes to camchoice since I need
lots of...
So for my challenger vert Hemi clone build I bought a new block with
stock bore, new MP aluheads, new stock crank and the rockerassembly
from somebody who couldn't continue his project. Considering I want a
mild build with a shaker setup and powerbrakes I need some advice.
I was thinking...
Have had my strokerbuild for the charger ready approx 5 months now
but it will certainly be a month or 2 before I can start her up.
Do you guys turn your engine manually sometimes during a waitingperiod?

Been doing some research and I seems to get the best prices at
ricksixpack (Rick Casselt). Would end up to 11600$ for the parts
sitting on a complete crate engine, ofcourse machining has to be added.
Now I see Jegs sells them for 13500$ so it will be almost the same
in the end. Question...
It's a Proform 750 vacuum but I tried a eddy and a Holley aswell with same result. Maybe it's bad connection to the choke, I take the plus from the wipermotor.
My rebuild 440 for the GTX has a strange problem, plugs are getting wet
when I try to start it when cold. It's about 38-40*F in the garage and
I have to disconnect the electric choke and hold full throttle to be lucky to start it. I have tried 3 different carbs and it's exactly the same story...
If I would like to change to lower comp I guess my only option will be buying to pistons. According to a engineshop here my KB826 (today -4cc) can not
be made a -12-13cc dishpiston. He claims he called KB.
Diamond has a -13cc piston but again costs:mad:
Cometic advice me to mill the deck if I...
Just my situation, can never save up 15000$ for a crateHemi but if you
split the purchases over 2 years the wife will not feel it that hard.
Checked Mancini and they seems to have the most parts. Did hear that the
complete rockeassembly though is a PITA concerning price. Maybe...
Would it be possible to purchase a 426 Hemi engine in parts to split
the cost over time instead of buying a crateengine? Where is the best place
to go to?
I will assemble the pistons to check piston to deckheight and after that
order a Cometic MLS headgasket, they can fix almost any thickness.
What's the maximum value for best quench effect if 0.040" is min?
Thanks guys, I will use a engle K60 cam with .534" lift and 288 duration,
proform 850 racecarburator and MP electronic.
The 10.9 is calculated with .039" headgasket. Guess also the octane here in Europe is slightly higher then in US.
