No. The whole pieces that “plunges” with the spring. It’s missing from the good cap. Is it possible to switch it over?

Good Day all, I have perfect outside condition 68 charger/barracuda gas cap that is missing the spring loaded plunger piece. Is is possible to remove just the "spring loaded plunger seal" seal section from a poor condition cap and place it on another gas cap that is in great show condition...

RC, So it does look like they were "up" on those cars. I only ask because a 50 year mopar guy walked by my car this summer and said "those go up". And I remember seeing your photos of them "up". Maybe a plant or flavor of the day thing? Macdon221

Is it just the black tape at the bottom or also strips of rope caulk down the side?

Good Day, What was the factory way to attach the poly that goes inside the door between the metal and the cardboard door panel? I know the poly goes screwed in at the top by the chrome trim... Is there white rope caulk used down the sides? Just wide black tape (like duct tape) on the bottom...
