Good Day all, First I have read everything that I can find on this I think... My Temp gauge in my 68 charger always reads low. Between the 120 and 170 mark. At operating temp with an infrared temp gun on the pump, housing, temp sending unit area etc...temp consistently reads 170-190 degrees...

I just put “lube” on there to temporarily to ease in sliding it on and off to get the length just right. All cleaned off before final fit. I have the hoses done like yours now as well. I really appreciate the pics!!

Wasn't trying to overthink it...but I am **** (lol)....I did a test piece and slid it all the way down to the housing and it was impossible to get off without cutting...even with Vaseline on the fitting..was just trying to see what the correct was to try and prevent that.

Good Day all, What would be the factory correct way to install the heater hose onto the outer water pump nipple/fitting? Does it go all the way down till the end is touching the the water pump housing...down past the temperature sending unit...or just slid onto the fitting until the diameter...

what should the original color/finish of these metal hardware parts be on the vent box under the dash? What about the clips? You can see i have one cleaned up.
