I had the same thing...the timing was jumping all around. I had my original Mopar distributor rebuilt by a member here. I touched nothing else. It solved it 100%.
I just looked at old pics and examples of original VR’s with factory date codes and markings….used a calliper to measure font height, length, style….them just went to the stamp shop….in less than 5 mins they had it all ordered up. It was just a local mom/pop print shop.
I did the same as Turbine…..found an original old cover, blasted, repainted, put it over the new insides. Then I had stamps made. Was less than $20 for the custom stamps.
I think I got the idea from him!
Good Day All,
I need a replacement turn signal switch for a 69 Charger. Tried to just replace the Cam with a Shemar one, but it still just does not work correctly. So going to replace the entire harness.
Which of these three do you all recommend...
1. From Daniel Stern Lighting

He had exact replacements for my charger. Not like the repos. Installed and worked exactly like original. 2 years in now and still perfect original feel and cutoff. Great/fast service and Quick to respond.
Not reproductions....but the original OE MOPAR Group 27 battery with the red caps.....
1. Were the caps screw in or push in?
2. I know what the top words/script is supposed to look like...but how many ribs that run vertically along the side were on the caps....7 or 8?
Thanks for any info or...
Good Day All,
First...I am a bit new at this compared to most...so please bear with me if I say something stupid!
I am looking at getting a replacement set of spark plug wires for my charger...and trying to do it as original as possible, Chrysler markings, date code etc.
With regards to wire...
Hey All,
Please don’t beat me up. Lol. I am relatively new at this MOPAR game but love restoring things like the way it was. Or close as possible. I have traditionally been an airplane/motorcycle guy...but forging into the mopars.
I am looking for insight on the correct, or most accepted way...
