Help identifying door latch linkage clip

I've had an problem with the passenger door not opening from the oustide. I took the door card off and noted that the linkage clip had popped out. I squashed it a bit to tighten the spring effect and clipped it back on. It popped off again after a month. I bought a new set of clips because when...

512 engine build - 18 months and counting, advice how to tackle this please

The credit card company said that the time for refund had elapsed. After dozens of emails and phone calls the engine was finished 2 weeks ago and he sent me the dyno video. Engine finished with a 2 year delay. I will believe it when the engine is shipped though.

    Rules for men. Let's discuss.

My sheila is half my age, been together 2 years. She's a good person, can be moody but goes really well with my teenage daughter. She doesn't try to change me and I don't try to change her. There is mutual acceptance of our defects. Having said that, all those rules apply to the T. Women are a...

I don't want to go to work tomorrow.

I can't imagine myself retiring. I do love my job and all the social, collegiality and problem-solving side of things etc. I can see myself slowing down my pace but not retiring completely.

Headlight Vacuum cannister - do I really need it?

Yes I saw those kits. I like the vacuum mechanism, that slow non-symmetrical lift of the doors give it that old school look that I don't want to lose. I just wanted to make I'm not missing anything and that the cannister didn't have some higher prupose.

Headlight Vacuum cannister - do I really need it?

The headlight doors suddenly stopped working. While investigating the problem I bypassed the cannister and bridged both vac lines together and the headlights are now working fine, better than before actually. I assume that the cannister must have a leak of sorts. So my question is, do I really...

Do you like to drive late at night? How about in the rain?

I adore driving at night, it's just magical in a Charger. A good mix of city/country roads is perfect. Dusk is tricky with all the roos on the road. This weekend I took the Charger to the Gentleman's drive. It was a 600km round trip and the last hour driving back home was in the dark and it was...

512 engine build - 18 months and counting, advice how to tackle this please

Couldn't agree me! I am a fixer not a replacer. I adore the learning curve that comes with fixing stuff. As for the crate motor, I ordered that motor not long after getting the Charger and I was still in that phase of wanting to mod the car to my likes. 2 years later I am still running that...

512 engine build - 18 months and counting, advice how to tackle this please

Just a quick update. The engine builder will not return my emails. I asked for a progress update and an estimated ETA. I raised a claim with my credit card company. I am glad that most communication happened through email because that will be used for the claim.

I'll admit it, I'm so gay.

I tried to bring myself to go and watch it at the drive-in with my partner but after seeing the trailer, I couldn't, I just couldn't.

512 engine build - 18 months and counting, advice how to tackle this please

Basically I spoke to him and he said that he was using different heads and I pulled him back to the agreement that we agreed to use Trickflow heads. He said they haven't been in stock for ages and then I showed him a link from 440 source where they were in stock. He said that it will cost extra...

Using brake clean as starting fluid?

I use throttle/carb cleaner but the fumes are extremely pungent. Never to be used in a closed garage.

    $1,000.00 per horsepower

Those rally cars of the 80s and 90s like the Renault and the Lancia Delta Integrale were so ahead of their time from an engineering point of view. They were never meant to look good but just perform.

    $1,000.00 per horsepower

They were huge in Europe at the time. I remember having one of those cars was "god-like". They are very quick but more importantly they handle real well.
