I have always put my cars up on jackstands for the winter, regardless of wether the floor was concrete, gravel, or rubber horse mats over crushed stone. Get it up nice and high and moisture won't get trapped underneath. Also, as previously mentioned, crack them windows ! Airflow is your friend...
Ok, I have the M/T valve covers on my 440. At this point I do not have a PCV valve installed. I was hoping that someone here knows what rubber grommet and PCV valve fits the M/T valve cover. On the opposite valve cover, I have the mopar 3 port valve.
Thanks !
I have this entire Slap Stik assembly including the tunnel support bracket. I kind of poked around trying to find a true value....one that it could be sold for. Prices are all over the board, so I figured it would be easier to ask the experts...FBBO. I do not have the T-Handle.
Don, that is what I did when you suggested it after our first road adventure. Even so, it wouldn't shift into 3rd anymore. That is why I am trying different things. I want to get it set up correctly so I can determine if it is the linkage or the transmission itself that is the 3rd gear issue.
Leo, if you had read what I had written when I posted the picture...you would know that I know they are in the wrong positions. They are going to get replaced anyway. I moved them for picture clarity
This is what I have, so far. The rod was way too short, which wouldn't allow me to get anywhere close to proper adjustment. Don't mind the old out of place springs.
Will the one piece kickdown linkage from a 383 fit a 440. I know that the 383 is a b block and 440 is an RB. I have an original carter carb with the 1/2" gasket. I am just wondering if that would make a B block linkage too short to use on my 440.
Thanks to all respondents
I had a similar problem with mine. I couldnt figure it out until Don Frelier. came over. He double checked everything I had done. Then he discovered that 4 out of 8 plugs were not firing....and they were brand new ! I changed them out and it runs great.
Check the Hagerty policy, that $50 is probably their subscription price for their "Hagerty Drivers Club". You get roadside assistance and a bi-monthly magazine and some other stuff. I believe it adds about 49 bucks to the yearly price.
