    This^^^^^^^^^^^^. It's better to have the tire closer to the spring than the outer wheelhouse lip. The tire to spring clearance is basically a fixed measurement, while the body to tire clearance will vary quite a bit while driving.

    Yeah, tuned to about 1/2 of the horsepower potential so that the block main webs can survive.

    That is a video of Mike Delahanty's NHRA max wedge A/SA car with "Launcher springs" by Greg Luneack at Tri-City Competition. Cal Tracs have pretty much replaced these in class racing, but I wanted to post to show how effective good leaf springs and shocks can be.
