When I had my 440 motor rebuild the water pump put on was with the exit on the drivers side. I have got everything to fit except the AC compressor, it hits the water pump thermostat housing. Anyone have a solution for this? I would like to keep the AC if I can. I am wondering if the brackets...
My motor is almost done and I do intend on using exhaust gaskets but i did notice the factory manual says they are not needed. What does the B Body community do? Gaskets, no gaskets, or gaskets and sealer like copper rtv?

I hope to be starting up this engine soon so was wondering how much break in oil will I need. The motor is from a 73 Roadrunner and has the factory oil pan. I am looking at the Lucas oil and it comes ina 5 quart jug, is that enough or should I get 2? The manual says 4 + 1 for the filter but no...
Wow, great solutions, I think the 45 will work very well, otherwise I will see what I can build from parts. Off to the hardware/auto parts store tomorrow to see what I can find!

This is on a 73 Roadrunner with a 440. The vacuum port does not want to screw in without hitting the intake. I weary at bending in the connectors as the may break or collapse.
Any suggestions?
