I've seen herb's paint and wondered about how good it is....says it will work with metal interior parts with the adhesive promoter...I went ahead and ordered it. Anyone have any experiences with it?
Hey listen guys, I'm Mopar'in Jay Leno style....I got 10 of these cars....can't do everything myself...I need you people to get your hands dirty while I supervise.
So whose free this weekend? Please bring your own tools as well.
I'm just keeping you guys on your toes...remember, jacks are not to be trusted and jack stands will fail and crush your brains. I fear them. Looking for creative solutions like large tree stumps or a very strong neighbor.
Yeah I know they can be removed...just wanted to make sure that paint intended for plastic/vinyl interior parts would work equally well on the pot metal parts....no flaking, peeling, etc...and if there is any additional prep recommended.
I've got a 75 fury sport with buckets. I want to take them out to recover them. The bolts are hard to get to and the car sits low to the ground. There's even some exhaust shielding around some of the bolts. Even driving the car up on ramps, the bolts closer to the interior are almost...
I've been using SEM paint for my plastic interior trim, however, there are some pieces that are actually metal, for example the trim pieces just above the doors..these also have a little surface rust on them.
Any recommendations for treating and painting these? Should I use the same SEM paint...
Wow...sounds like I can spray paint my black shag carpet and be rest assured of excellent results...no crunchiness, stiffness, gooiness, paint rub off or flaking, and I can rub my toes into the shag and it will feel like new. Shitchyeah!
I need to remove my bench seat so I can recover it and install carpet. After looking under the rails, I noticed that the four bolts holding it in are pretty rusty, and appear wallowed out in some cases.
Any tricks of the trade I can use to remove these? Can or should these be unbolted from...
I am very tempted to use some spray adhesive to install carpet in my b body...I think that the adhesive will make installation easier, and eliminate the lumpiness that we often see after installing new carpet. But I couldn't help but notice that none of the youtube videos (that I could find)...
70's b body dashes often have a silver paint trim around the AC bezels and other parts of the dash. Someone told me years ago to use a silver model paint from a hobby shop to repaint these little sections. Has anyone done this and do you remember exactly what color/brand of paint looks best?
I bought carpet from Stock Interiors, which is supplied by ACC I think....I just got it. will let you know the experience. they did have a lot of options to add mass backing and select higher qualities which I liked. I got the enhanced backing. I also got carpet for my truck from LMC...not...
My 1975 fury sport still has its original black shag carpet. The replacement carpet available is only the standard cut pile stuff...no way to get shag. I ordered new carpet, but a friend says he would paint it. I'm not sure how painting would turn out..sounds gross to me. I imagine that...
Our interiors have a combination of metal and plastic parts that are the same color. In my case, I have a white interior.
When repainting my interior parts, do I need to use a different paint for the plastic trim and the metal trim? I know there are some good vinyl paints out there...but...
My car has the fiberglass headliner...you know the soft ones with the velvety material. Mine is completely intact, but its dingy, and the original color is white.
Is there anyway in the world to clean this thing? I've heard some things about woolite, but I'm not sure how good that works...
I think you may be out of luck. I tried to find one of those a while back and couldn't find anything but black ones...and even those were hard to find and had questionable fit for an older style wide diameter wheel. If you do find one, all you'll get is black. No other colors. The good ole...
