I just used a manual switch for mine to not interfere with the temp gauge. Simple wiring with the switch hidden under the steering column.

I would assume most people running electric fans are also running a temp gauge. How/where are the individual sending units located? Or can both be run off one sending unit? I would not think that would be the case since the sending units may not be calibrated to work the same.
