Hi and welcome!
I am not sure which version A pillar since you have a 71 (early models have 2 holes) but Tony's moparts sells them new and they are of great quality. They are somewhat expensive but they look and feel just like the originals...
It sure is! That car donated a lot of parts to mine. I have the trunk, valance, window tracks and other odds and ins from that car. That is too cool, it's great to know that car has saved others out there.
This sounds like a very good deal to me. Even more so if you have a matching numbers 340. It also has a very nice color and super nice combo with the white canopy roof. If you don't want it, they will have others lined up to get it at that price. I am always looking online just to see and most...
I don't believe I have an issue or anything but wanted to check if anyone knew how to convert the lines to actual oil pressure readings. When the engine oil is cold it likes to stay at the high end of the gauge but will come down more to the .5/.75 mark under acceleration. It runs fine as is...
I just went through this process. Mine is a 72 but I have the exact same bracketry and your front mount location looks to close to mine but it might be a little to far back and to the left. Mine is almost to far back too so I am thinking its that bracket. These are not the best pictures but here...
I know you said you wanted original but I just bought a reproduction (OER) from summit and it has worked very well so far for me. The only thing I am not a fan of is that it doesn't have that metal insert where the turn signal lever screw goes into. I am curious to know if that will last in the...
They go in the dash. They are out of stock on classic from what I saw but they make an 8k reproduction version that goes into the factory location. Its pricey but so is finding an original one too. Here is mine installed.
I have converted my car to a 5 speed and am in the process of cleaning up my steering column. There is an inner shell that the old column linkage used to attach too and I was curious to know if I could get rid of it. I cut off the arm that attaches to it but if I dont need it I would rather...
My 72 Roadrunner just had the hood latch release inside the car break at the plastic and I am trying to source another one. Mine looks closer to an E Body with the word hood vertical but all of the reproduction ones look like they are cheap chrome handles with it being horizontal.
Were there...
Mine were bolted in originally but I didn't feel like tracking down new bolts since my old ones were really crusty. They came with the rivets and I was being lazy so I just riveted them in. Thankfully its an easy fix if I ever need to change them out.
Thank you all for the help and support. I was trying to put it to far back behind the k frame. It helps when you know where it goes. I got it figured out now. Strangely enough I did not have holes on the drivers side and it would not fit anyways. I didnt take one off during disassembly so I...
I actually just found a picture on Detroit muscle. I bought mine from Classic and they didn't have a picture. In case someone else has a brain fart like me, I attached it below.
Thanks, I think that is what I needed. I believe these are the same from 66-72 (at least that is what the website says) but I could not find any where on the K-frame where the holes would line up with out it handing weirdly off the frame. My fear was that the body shop didn't put the holes back...
Hi,
Does anyone have a picture of the passenger side k frame splash guard on the car? I am trying to put mine back on but as dumb as it sounds, I can not figure out how to properly put it back on. Of course it was so easy to take off I didn't think to take a picture and now I can't remember...
I don't have any close up pics but they look pretty good. They are not a perfect fit but probably as good as factory was. When I get home this evening I can take a couple of close ups.
I just got the picture from Booster Steve today and I have to say that I am super impressed! While I have not used the booster yet, I highly recommend them if you want to have yours restored and rebuilt. They are some of the nicest people I have talked to and I would be glad to send them another...
