1963 PLYMOUTH 4 SPEED DASH PICTURE

The TKX utilies a newly designed case which gives a more rounded appearance compared to the older blocky case used in the TKO family. I believe they made a couple internal improvements but the biggest difference is the case... the more rounded case was designed to make it fit a bit easier...

    1964 dodge polara horn ring

1964 Polara would have the full horn ring - the 330 and 440 models got the partial ring per the factory information https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/DealershipDataBook/1964/64_Dodge_Styling_Models0007.jpg

    Tapered axle upgrade??

I was in the same boat with my 64 - ended up scoring a complete 8.75 (housing, axles, drum brakes, empty 742 case) out of a 1970 Charger for $200 -- I already had a 3.91SG pumpkin so I plan on just swapping the entire assembly in when my body comes back from paint shop. Also to answer your...

    1965 Clutch Pedal

Whats up So Cal neighbor - easier to swap the whole pedal assembly... It's unlikely you'll find just a clutch pedal anyway... I've only ever found the complete assemblies here and there. I believe 1963-1965 B-Body will all work for your 1965. I am swapping my 64 Polara to a 4-speed myself.

    Value on removed stuff?

I know a lot of this is subjective to the area I live in (SoCal) but is there any value to the things I will be removing from my '64 Polara - namely the following - Tapered Axle 8 3/4 -- I know they have gone way of the Do-do bird and most people prefer the later and easier to work on style but...

    1964 rear seat foam?

I reached out to an old guy I used years ago for interior stuff and he stated exactly that... he said don't worry about it - just get the covers and he will build and shape the foam without any issues.

    Leaf Springs for 1964

What are you guys running for replacement leafs on your 1964? Looking at the factory specs and they are 21" front and 35" rear... Later B body is 22/36 and A bodies are 20/35... so do you guys get replacement 1964 leafs or just run extended front hangers and run A body leafs?

    Value of 413 & 440 Blocks

For comparison I got a 1968 440 block complete pan to intake and was never apart -- scored it for $800 which was about market 2 years ago. The 440 blocks are about $300 to me as unless you can get them magged and checked they are somewhat of a gamble. the 413 blocks are probably about $100-$150...

    1964 Polara vs Polara 500

The Polara 500 package was a 318 or larger engine and came standard with bucket seats, the "Polara 500" on the front fenders, and wheel covers. The Polara package came standard with the side trim, three tail lights, hood spear, the decklid trim, and the rear trim around the tail lights The...

    Choosing a color

my 64 Polara was originally a lighter shade of blue - agreed - they all seem to be black, white, or red... never been a fan of those colors - too common. I say go with bronze - it's bright and different to get attention.
