Hello guys - looking to start collecting some parts to keep moving forward on my 64 Polara. I am in the market for a fiberglass hood but can't seem to find a reasonable one anywhere. Anyone know of a source? Also may be in the market for bumpers and fenders

Whats up So Cal neighbor - easier to swap the whole pedal assembly... It's unlikely you'll find just a clutch pedal anyway... I've only ever found the complete assemblies here and there. I believe 1963-1965 B-Body will all work for your 1965. I am swapping my 64 Polara to a 4-speed myself.

I know a lot of this is subjective to the area I live in (SoCal) but is there any value to the things I will be removing from my '64 Polara - namely the following - Tapered Axle 8 3/4 -- I know they have gone way of the Do-do bird and most people prefer the later and easier to work on style but...

I reached out to an old guy I used years ago for interior stuff and he stated exactly that... he said don't worry about it - just get the covers and he will build and shape the foam without any issues.

They don't have an EFI ready tank for the early B-bodies... I am running their tank in my 68 Charger and it is great - wish they would make the early B-body tanks

What are you guys running for replacement leafs on your 1964? Looking at the factory specs and they are 21" front and 35" rear... Later B body is 22/36 and A bodies are 20/35... so do you guys get replacement 1964 leafs or just run extended front hangers and run A body leafs?

For comparison I got a 1968 440 block complete pan to intake and was never apart -- scored it for $800 which was about market 2 years ago. The 440 blocks are about $300 to me as unless you can get them magged and checked they are somewhat of a gamble. the 413 blocks are probably about $100-$150...

my 64 Polara was originally a lighter shade of blue - agreed - they all seem to be black, white, or red... never been a fan of those colors - too common. I say go with bronze - it's bright and different to get attention.

Or if you have a plasma cutter you can just get some 2x4 stock and make a cardboard pattern of the floor - transfer it to the stock and plasma out - basically the same thing USCT sells for WAY less $$$ -
