    Don't use spray foam,that stuff holds moisture.Post a photo of the area looking from the bottom of the car. The trunk floor extension is sorta L shaped and gets spot welded to the trunk floor and also at the bottom of the 1/4.

    Gas tank hides most of the splice on the bottom,use a trunk mat if you don't like the inside.

    Paint it assembled or you'll end up with a 2 tone paint job like many others do.I can spot a car a mile away when the doors are painted separate from the car.

    Unless your repainting the car there is no reason to remove every bit of it,just stick the new over it.If repainting the car use a wire wheel.
