stock 318 poly, 66 model 2bbl. i put new points, plugs in and it was running like poop...would idle fine and then wouldn't rev up for nothin... stalled out, like it was being choked down etc...so i went home at lunch today, unhooked my vacuum advance hose from my carb to the dist, blocked off...
what does points set at? .017? 66 model 2 bbl..
what about plug gap? .035?

so my 66 belvedere has the 318w block engine...runs excellent aside from a little carb issue..but runs really smooth, has a touch over 57,000 miles on it.
thoughts about putting headers and a good dual exhaust, maybe put a 4bbl intake on it and carb...or extreme put a cam and lifters in it...
