First off, I've kind of asked this question in other threads but wanted to try again to get anyone's experience actually building such a motor: 383, either massaged 906 or CNC'd Stealth heads, roller Lunati cam, 231/239 @ .50 535/550 lift, either 3.75 or 4.25 crank for 432 or 489 c.i., stock HP...
I've been trying to decide whether to go with HP manifolds or headers on my 383. I'm still deciding whether to stroke it or not, but I'm heavily leaning towards a mostly stock appearing car & motor. I google imaged "Roadrunner Motor" and was very surprised that most of the pics had manifolds...
I know I should pull & store my Roadrunner's numbers matching 383, but what I will be doing instead is building it to a 'safe' power level and just not abusing it unnecessarily; no burnout contests, limited track time, mostly cruising and 'feeling the power' from time to time.
At what power...
