Found a pair of doors on e-bay that were advertised as fitting `64 Fury/Coronet/Belvedere hardtop models. I know that the `64 and `65 Coronet and Belvedere doors were all the same. I THINK the `64 Fury doors will also fit my `65 Belvedere hardtop but would like a second opinion.
Thanks...
I'm looking for a pair of decent doors for a 65 Belvedere hardtop. I think the 65 Coronet hardtop doors will also work. Maybe the 64 B-body doors too, but not sure about these. Doors don't have to be perfect - I can fix minor rust and dents/dings. Can anyone out there direct me toward a...
I'm rebuilding the front sway bar assembly on my `65 Coronet and am looking for replacement bushings. (part #'s 1824935 and 1731341) I'd like to find some NOS bushings but would also settle for repops. Does anyone know who offers these? Also, anywhere I can find a good drawing/photo of the...
This question probably applies to all cars but since I'm building a `65 Belvedere thought I'd post it here. Completely rebuilding all of the drum brakes - both front a back. Dumb question, but do the smaller pads go on the front half of the assembly or the rear half? (I should have paid more...
I have a pair of fenders from my `65 Belvedere that I no longer need. Building an AWB car and will go with a pair of fiberglass fenders. The original steel fenders are super straight but do have a small (easily repairable) rust spot on each. I hate to throw them away but don't really want the...
I'm looking to use a pair of original (circa) `65 M & H Racemaster 8.2 x 15 slicks for my AWB project - `65 Belvedere. I'd like to mount them on a set of 7" wide wheels that I have but want to make sure 7" is wide enough. I can't find any tire-to-wheel info on tires this old. The car will be...
I'm lookig for a company that can restore the steering column in my `65 Belvedere (column shift, cable shift 727TF). I checked wit SMS as they had restored the column in my `65 Coronet and `76 Belvedere but they said they don't touch cable shift columns, so i need to find another source. Any...
Anyone know where I can get a copy of "Journey Through Hemiland" by Pete Haldiman? I've got a copy dated April 2003 but apparently there was a second issue dated June 2004 which had a lot more info (sketches, photos) of the first altered wheelbase cars, which is what I'm looking for. I've...
I'm looking for a RH lower quarter patch panel for my `65 Belvedere. AMD, not the cruddy stuff sold by Sherman metal (none of their stuff comes close to fitting, but maybe that's my lack of metal working skills). I checked with AMD and they said that they stopped making the lower 1/4 panels and...
Looking for am good used manual steering unit for my `65 Belvedere. Will a late 60's (68-69) A, B E-body unit bolt in and fit up in my `65? I'm travelling and don't have access to my interchange manual.
Thanks!
Steve
Anyone know what code (number) was stamped on the rear axle tube for the 1965 Dodge Coronet (w/ 3.23gears)? I think it's in the sales code book but can never seem to make sense of the numbers. It's something like "282" or "286". I'm have a stamp made up to restamp the rear axle tube and would...
Here's a question for you really old guys - with good memories. I'm recreating one of the `65 Chrysler factory constructed AWB cars (`65 Belvedere) and wondered if anyone know what the factory did with the torsion bars. Since the K-frame was moved forward 10", the torsion bars had to be 10"...
What size arm rests were used on the `65 Coronet 500 hardtop? I've got a boxfull of arm rest bases of varying sizes and trying to determine which ones to re-chrome. There are three sizes:
(a) 10" lg w/ ash tray cutout, [P/N 2490016/7]
(b) 11-1/2" lg w/ ash tray cutout [1211 VZ1 LH/RH]
(c)...
Okay, here's one for you REALLY old guys out there. I'm restoring a 426W powered `65 Coronet back to showroom condition and I'm trying to determine the manufacturer and type tires that originally came on these cars. G. Govier's little book, lists a 7.75-14, 4-ply tire with a thin whitewall; I'm...
