1967 Plymouth GTX

About this Mopar:

I bought my GTX in '69, having returned on leave from Nam and it has been my baby since, until I met and married my wife. I am the second owner and I started drag racing it in '72. To date the best is a 10.43 at 126 mph. It 60 foots in the low 1.40's with a best of 1.43. Not too bad for a car with S/S springs and a pinion snubber. I have more lots more photos I will load later. Go Hawks!

Beautiful GTX! I'm a little partial if you couldn't tell. What size slick is on that thing? Stock wheelwells?

Thanks, I appreciate the comments. The slicks are 12.00 x 15 Hoosiers made possible with special order Cragar Super Tricks and 6 1/2 back spacing. A real chore taking them on and off.

Bad *** car, thanks for your service; you guys paved the way for my generation.
Thanks for your comments and the GTX is a fun ride.
Given the circumstances, we did what we could do and the treatment we received was hard to take at times. "Thanks" was a rare commodity.

If I ever come across a 67 Satellite I will have to seriously think about it .

I went into the Army in 78 and served with a lot of VN vets as well as Korea and even some WWII guys. I remember many discussions about how each were treated post service/conflict. While I am glad that the public is generally behind the military now, I think it swung too far, but that said I know several VN vets who were finally thanked for some extraordinary feats of heroism.
