Have a 383/727 that's been sitting in the garage for nearly 20 years. Would like to swap it out with the 273/904 currently in the car. Like to have a nice streetable car that my son can have fun in, but still has some authority. So far, all I can say is...Mopar stuff is EXPENSIVE!

I have a question...did these things come with 8-3/4 rear ends behind a 273, or something smaller?

Hi Mark, yes Mopar stuff is expensive indeed. In all honesty, I am not really sure about the 8-3/4 suregrip rear with a 273. I am sure it is possible, especially with Ma Mopar. I however believe it would have been E or Extra Cost but do not hold me to that. Could you please post a picture here by chance? Sorry if I am not much help here. Any other members want to chime in and help out?

Fun project! My son was never interested in turning a wrench, only the wheel. Here is a link with some great information on the 8.75 diff.
