I’m new here and I’m new to the Mopar world. I’ve been IH and GM up until now. I recently acquired a 1971 Satellite. Body is really good, no motor or transmission. I’m wanting to build a “daily”, but not a true daily. Something reliable and fun to drive, but something I can take and attempt to run time trials and autocross a little.

I have a few questions, but one at a time.

I’m planning on running a magnum 318 with a manual transmission. But the car was originally an automatic. I was thinking about an NV3500. Will this fit? And what’s a good starting point for hanging a third pedal?

Welcome
post your question over in the 71-74 area
and you will get a better response then you will find in this section

welcome to FBBO

this is just the welcome wagon not really intended
as a Q&A or tech section
like @flypaper said

you may want to also post it in the
General Discussion or the Resto-Mod & Pro-Touring
forum section here too

check the Engines, Trans & driveline
in the Classic Mopar Tech forum sections here too

you could get a cltuch & brake peddle assembly
from a gen 3 1971-74 4 speed car
form a Satellite, Sport Sat., Road Runner or GTX (Charger ?) etc.
&/or do an aftermarket hydraulic or mechanical linkage
depending on the final trans & clutch set ups

or do a -web search- for MoPar peddle assemblies,
to fit a 1971 Satellite
a few aftermarket co.'s out there that are viable

good luck

Welcome from the show me state!!
