So I'm in possession of an 02 Ram that has sat since about 04. I put a new battery in and the fuel gauge is showing just under 1/8, which if my math is right is just over 3 gallons. So I ask all ye great knowers of Mopar knowledge should I drain the gas that's in there or could I just pour several gallons on top of it and let the old stuff mingle with the new gas. Also how can I drain the tank on an 02 Ram, I've done it on my Charger but there's a big difference between a 70 and 02. And also is there anything else I should look for (other than tires) that could be in bad shape after years of sitting?

Thats a long time to sit. Probably the easiest way to drain the tank is to remove the fuel line at the rail and fasten a hose to it into a bucket, jump the fuel pump relay to power up the pump and let it drain. Brakes are probably beyond help. Change all the fluids.

Are we talking rotors, Calipers, and pads all the way around or is there more to it than that?

Inwas thinking just the rotors. If it was outside they have to be rusted beyond help. Probably do pads with them just because. You will find out if a caliper is frozen, so i wouldn't go changing anything else arbitrarily.

Wow, the truck only had two years of use before being parked? Why? And what engine does it have? Definitely drain the gas...and all the other fluids. If you're lucky, the gas will still be liquid enough to drain.

Probably not even 2 years, but it has been driven a few times since then but not much total mileage is just over 5,000. It's got a 5.9 Magnum under the hood. And I probably shouldn't discuss the details of why it hasn't been driven right now, I should have the title by mid June I can discuss it then.

The fuel injectors are guaranteed to be gummed up too. Might as well pull them and clean them. 4.7?
