10 vane water pump ??'s

My 67 manual makes note of plastic impellers. They had some kind of metal retaining ring. I have never seen one. The impeller specs. were in the same manual, but they are not always accurate.

So if a non AC engine was running a water pump built for a AC equipped engine could that be a factor in some of these ( runs to hot) threads ?

Anything is possible. I checked a 440 source pump, an Edelbrock and a Speedmaster all 6 blades. Kim

Those cast iron and plastic impellers were used in the early 60 maybe late 50s too. SVM told you to break the plastic with chisel, and the rebuild kit had new impeller. It should have been on an early casting housing, but I am sure rebuilders put it on any housing if needed.
