How do you know that everything in between those numbers are Dodge vehicles? Plymouths were also built at the St. Louis plant.165036 is a WS car. 165240 is an XS car so that VIN is good for a Dodge model but not a Plymouth. Likely SPD of B24.

You remind me of Marisa Tomie in "My Cousin Vinny" sometimes Doug .based on the SPD, model sequence and how VINs were assigned. Coronets (W) preceded Chargers (X) when sorting VINs. Belvederes (R) come before W. Since the VIN in question falls between two known models, both of which happen to have the same SPD and be Dodges, the tranny came from a W or X based car and not a Plymouth (R).

So if I give you an 18 spline trans number, you will be able to tell me what car it came out of? (I already know, but I want to see if this holds true)
Here's the number... 0G191536
