Does anyone know the Casting Number of the '62 Max Wedge water pump? I don't know if it was the same or different from other RB cars. I do believe the casting number was different from the part number #2448326; however, I certainly could be wrong about this. The "search" function didn't turn up any hits. This is the pump in question.

That is the water pump housing. The water pump is behind the pulley.

I’m not being a smart Alek, if you are looking For water pump numbers that won’t be on the list.

Your housing casting number is the same as 1964 that's listed. Not saying that the same casting number wasn't used in 1962 because that info isn't listed. Part numbers are different though.

Shown above is a 2205862 housing, Chrysler part #'s 2240318 and 2448758. These housings are CAST IRON, be careful not to confuse this with the identical part listed below with the same casting number made of ALUMINUM. These were used from 62-64.

Shown above is a 2536767 ALUMINUM housing, Chrysler part # 2536725. This was used on 1965 S/S Race Hemis. Chrysler used the same basic tooling for these as they did for the iron 2205862 housing listed above, so on the upper part of the housing you will find that casting number. However, notice the additional tag added on the lower radiator hose outlet, listing the true casting number. Notice the absence of this tag on the above iron housing. Be careful not to confuse the two.

Shown above is housing 1944916 as both the part and casting number. These were used from 59-63 on non-AC vehicles.

Thanks. It appears I have a 64 413 water pump. I know more now than I did before. These replies were helpful.

Doing a little more digging it appears that the part number for the '62 Max Wedge, 1944916 is also the casting number like stated in the 440 Source reference I posted.

Looking at this add and blowing the picture up, it has that number on it. (I don't trust this 2040 site for purchasing anything)
